The Buleleng Fly-In 2008 committee would like to thank you for your intention to attend our invitation to Buleleng Fly-In 2008 which will be held on August 1 – 8 2008.

We have prepared and tried to make BFI Flyin 2008 for more than a year and unfortunately at the last stages we have encountered several problems which beyond our controls. The steep increase in the world oil price has consequently catapulted the AVGAS price in Indonesia to almost USD 3.00 per liter and to make it worse, there is no guarantee of the availability of AVGAS in term of amount at the appointed refueling points.

There is also security issue which we have been advised if we were to continue with BFI2008 . There will be Governor Election in Bali on July 2008. Often, the aftermath of local elections in Indonesia experiences social disturbance especially in remote area like our airfield in Buleleng.

Facing with these problems and considering all safety and security factor of all participants, after long discussion, the committee members and other parties who support the event decides that Buleleng Fly-In 2008 event is to be postponed for not longer than another year.

The Committee understands that all of you have prepared yourself and your aircrafts, and making so much effort for attending Buleleng Fly-In 2008, and would like to apologize to all of you for this inconvenience.

Certainly, the committee will keep you inform regarding the new schedule of Buleleng Fly-in in near future.
