Hi flyingbean,

I'm a member of EFC. You can take a bus into Malaysia and take the Senai Shuttle to Senai Airport, a 10mins walk will reach the clubhouse. The cost on the website is a very rough guide. It depends on a few factors such the student's progress and fuel prices. It's best if you can come to the club and check things out, our friendly admin and members there will answer all your questions.

Dear Edwin,

thanks for the reply, some questions is that I saw the online booking system on your website. May i know is a student pay only when he/she book and confirm on the date that was flying meaning eg: if he choose to fly 1 hr on a Sunday and he/she only pay for that 1 hour on that day(pay as you learn)? Or must pay a sum of block booking say 5-10 hrs flying time in advance.

What need to be done for the class 2 medical?

Thank you,
Flying Bean

Hi Flyingbean,

It's pay as you learn, although there will be a penalty charge if you cancel the slot on a short notice (to discourage students to book well in advance and dont turn up). You'll have to find out from the club admin on the penalty.

Class 2 medical examines your general health, hearing and eyesight.

Regards,
Edwin

Hi BlackHawk,

The info is from someone who took the shuttle.

It is possible to take the yellow ( Malaysia ) or SBS bus from Johor checkpoint to either Larkin or Kota Raya. I am not familiar with Larkin but I know it is slightly cheaper but the bus is older and the journey slightly longer compared to Kota Raya.

At Kota Raya, just proceed to the Senai shuttle lounge and buy a Kota Raya-Senai coach ticket that costs RM8 one way. Journey takes about 40mins-45mins. The frequency is per hour.

Hope this helps.
